Reuse and Standardise Your Work

Glyphe User Quick Start (Part 2) — save time by reusing high-quality work and standardising repeatable tasks in Glyphe.

Overview

This guide shows you how to avoid starting from scratch by reusing work you've already done in Glyphe.

You'll learn how to:

  • Use Workflows to run repeatable tasks consistently
  • Save prompts to Assistant for future use
  • Find and continue past chats using History

By the end of this guide, you'll have saved a prompt, run a Workflow, and returned to previous work without needing to recreate it.

Before You Start

Prepare the following:

  • A task you perform regularly (e.g. reviewing clauses, summarising document changes, drafting emails or memos)
  • A prompt or output you were satisfied with and would like to reuse

You'll use these as you work through the steps below.

Use Workflows for Repeatable Tasks

Workflows help you run repeatable, multi-step tasks with consistent inputs, clear progress, and structured outputs.

When to Use a Workflow

Use a Workflow when:

  • You repeat the same task across multiple matters or documents
  • You want consistent structure and outputs
  • You don't want to rewrite prompts each time

Common Uses

  • Summarising document changes or redlines and comparing documents
  • Extracting structured data from documents
  • Preparing red-flags analysis of documents

Run Your First Workflow

Checklist

  • ☐ Go to your Matter Documents list in the navigation pane (left pane)
  • ☐ Select and double-click one of the documents to open it on the Desk
  • ☐ Click the "Review" action button at the bottom of the navigation pane and select the specific Review Workflow you would like to run (ideally using a real task)
  • ☐ Follow the guided steps and toggles to run the Workflow

Find and Reuse Past Work with History

Use History to quickly locate previous work instead of recreating it. You can search through your previous chats, Workflows, and Quick Action prompts.

Checklist

  • ☐ Open History from the sidebar (the clock icon in Assistant)
  • ☐ Browse or search past prompts, documents, and outputs
  • ☐ Reopen a previous chat to continue working

Tip: Wait for Glyphe to finish generating a response before leaving a chat. If you exit early, your work may not be saved.

Save Strong Prompts to Assistant

You can save prompts that produce reliable, high-quality results so you can reuse them later.

Checklist

  • ☐ Open a previous chat containing a prompt you want to save
  • ☐ Click Save Prompt below the prompt
  • ☐ Alternatively, create one manually from the Prompt Management page
  • ☐ Complete the required fields and click Save
  • ☐ Load the saved prompt into Assistant with one click when needed

Tip: Save prompts that work well and refine them over time to improve consistency.

Navigating your Workbench and Running Specific Quick Actions

Workbench acts as your central hub for reusable resources and best practices. One great way to use Workbench for each Matter is to load your favourite go-to precedent documents into the Workbench, so you can quickly reference an ideal clause or run Compare and Align Quick Actions between your working document and your Workbench precedent document.

Checklist

  • ☐ Open and load your favourite precedents into the Workbench
  • ☐ Select and open from the Workbench those documents you'd like to bring onto the Desk
  • ☐ Switch to the side-by-side view, with your precedent document on one side and your working document on the other
  • ☐ Run Glyphe's Quick Actions to match similar clauses for you to compare, align the drafting, or provide drafting recommendations based on the comparisons between clauses

How These Features Work Together

Think of Glyphe's reuse features as three levels:

  • History and Assistant chat — Find something you've already done and reuse your favourite prompts, or learn from previous conversations.
  • Workbench (precedent library) — Bring your favourite precedent documents onto the Desk to match, align, and compare them to your working document.
  • Workflows — Standardise an entire task end-to-end.

What's Next

Now that you know how to:

  • Reuse and refine your work
  • Standardise repeatable tasks

You're ready to move on to working with larger document sets and more advanced workflows in Glyphe.
