Glyphe Overview

Glyphe is built to help individuals and businesses create, review, and manage legal commercial documents with speed and confidence. It streamlines legal contract workflows, simplifies complex information, and generates clear and practical outputs you can rely on.

Glyphe is designed to help you move quickly from question to outcome so you can focus on decisions, not process.

Glyphe's core tools — Assistant and Workflows — work together to automate routine tasks, extract key information, and produce high-quality legal documents or legal analysis in minutes.

Glyphe's Core Tools

Assistant: Ask, Review, Draft

The Desk is your central workspace for creating and working with legal content. It houses the Assistant — your curated AI helper — and the Navigation pane, where your matter documents, recent work, and workflow layers are easily accessible. From a single interface, you can ask questions, draft documents, refine clauses, summarise materials, or analyse legal issues.

Enter a prompt into Assistant, and upload documents or select sources within Glyphe to guide the response. Glyphe will generate outputs based on your instructions and clearly reference the materials used. Assistant can help you with any kind of bespoke drafting, for both ideation or outputs that are grounded in your source material.

Whether you need a quick answer, a structured summary, or a polished legal document, Assistant provides results that you can edit, reuse, and export with ease.

Quick Actions

Quick Actions, which are found at the bottom of your Assistant and on your Clause Cards, are Glyphe's one-click tools designed to accelerate common legal workflows. With a single selection, you can instantly run tasks such as Draft, Explain, or Redraft, without needing to manually write prompts or instructions.

These built-in actions help streamline contract review and drafting by delivering fast, consistent outputs directly within your workflow. Quick Actions reduce repetitive tasks, simplify interaction with the platform, and make it easier to move from review to execution efficiently.

Navigate the Desk: Left Navigation Pane

The Desk's left panel is your navigation pane — it holds the matter documents you're working on, your recent work, and the workflow layers applied to the documents on the Desk. You can also quickly run Review and Draft workflows from this panel.

The navigation pane is designed to improve consistency and efficiency. From it you can access:

  • Matter Documents. Quickly access your matter documents and files.
  • Workflow outputs. Review all your workflow outputs and toggle how you view the layers and versions of your documents.
  • Templates and playbooks. Run review and drafting actions against the precedents and playbooks you've configured.

Workbench: Your Precedent Library

Workbench is Glyphe's precedent library — a dedicated page where you build and manage the reusable clauses, templates and agreements your team relies on. You open it from the Workbench page in Glyphe (separate from the Desk's navigation pane).

Use the Workbench to load your favourite precedent documents, and then bring them into the Desk to compare and align with your working contract. The Compare and Align Quick Actions work clause-by-clause between the Workbench precedent and your working document.

Workflows: Automate & Streamline Tasks

Workflows allow you to automate repeatable legal tasks and standard processes.

You can access Workflows through the navigation pane on the left of the Desk, or through the File option in your toolbar. Follow the prompts, upload your documents, toggle your choice, and let Glyphe do the rest.

Examples include:

  • Glyphe Reviews (Red-Flags Reviews and Redlines): Identify key material risks using a traffic-light system, and generate issue summaries of provisions and recommended amendments based on your contract.
  • Document Drafting & Uplifts: Apply structured edits or generate new content based on instructions, on a clause-by-clause basis or document-wide.

Document Views

Glyphe provides two primary ways to interact with your documents: Clause Cards and the Document Viewer. You can seamlessly switch between these views depending on whether you want a clause-by-clause workflow or a full document review experience.

Clause Cards

Clause Cards break your document into individual extracted clauses, presenting each relevant clause on its own interactive card for focused review and analysis. You can use the Clause Cards to quickly navigate key provisions, review risks, and engage with specific clauses without needing to search through the full document.

Each Clause Card includes built-in Quick Actions, enabling you to instantly run tasks such as summarising, comparing, redrafting, or analysing the clause. The Assistant is also integrated directly into every card, allowing you to prompt the Assistant against a specific clause and receive contextual responses tailored to that provision.

There may be certain issues in the way Glyphe extracts your clauses into the respective Clause Cards based on our extraction model. This is likely associated with formatting in your contract document.

Document Viewer

The Document Viewer provides a traditional full-document reading and review experience within Glyphe. You can review the entire agreement in context while accessing Glyphe's drafting, review, and AI-assisted functionality directly alongside the document.

The Document Viewer is designed for holistic contract review. We are continuing to improve the integration between the Document Viewer, the Assistant, and the Quick Action suite so you have more functionality whichever view you prefer.

Matter List: Track & Revisit Your Work

The Matter List allows you to access and manage your previous activity within Glyphe.

  • Easily create new Matters, open existing Matters, and navigate through your existing Matters.
  • View past queries or Matters, and review your previous conversations, documents and outputs.
  • Filter your Matters by keywords, date, or project.
  • Save and revisit workflows run in each Matter.

Playbook Builder: Clause Bank

The Playbook Builder (Clause Bank) is your central hub for creating, storing, and managing preferred clauses, fallback positions, and negotiation guidance. It allows you to build a tailored library of go-to language that reflects your organisation's legal standards and commercial priorities.

During contract review and drafting, Glyphe surfaces relevant clauses and playbook guidance in real time, helping you apply consistent positions, streamline workflows, and reduce time spent searching for precedent language.

Global Search

Use Global Search at the top of your Desk to instantly locate anything across the document open on your Desk.
